UPMC Addiction Medicine Services (AMS) staff offers training in the prevention, intervention, and treatment of co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. Combining counseling, therapy, and medication, we offer medication-assisted treatment or MAT to our clients. Doing so helps clients overcome their substance use disorder and make a lasting recovery. At UPMC Addiction Medicine Services, we offer a range of programs to treat substance use and mental health disorders. I specialize in helping individuals develop new coping skills, understand triggers, and learn effective relaxation techniques.
Gaudenzia’s Treatment Model
Gaudenzia’s vision is a future where all individuals confronting substance use and mental health challenges find the assistance they need to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. Symptoms can be moderate to severe, with addiction being the most severe form of SUD. We also assist the Alcohol Highway Safety Program in Allegheny County. We work with local officials to provide intervention services for people arrested for DUI.

Trauma and EMDR Therapies

Our psychiatric unit offers expert inpatient treatment for people with both a psychiatric disorder and a substance use disorder. Inpatient and Outpatient Addiction Treatment
Renewal, Inc. is a renowned Pittsburgh-based community corrections organization focused on rebuilding lives affected by wide-spread opioid and other substance and alcohol use disorders. With well-trained and experienced psychiatrists at each of our facilities, we provide trauma therapy for clients in need of it. Also, we offer EMDR therapy, a new and effective form of treatment for clients struggling with trauma. If you’re in western Pennsylvania, Allegany or Butler county, we provide outpatient, intensive outpatient, and gender-specific rehab for men and women. For clients who are able to live independently but still want or need support, we offer outpatient rehab. Clients come to our facility at scheduled times receiving the same quality of care as they would in a residential program. If your SAP has referred you for counseling, you’ve come to the right place.
